How to pick the right thong?
Honestly speaking, thongs are like the boldest & sexiest ones in the lingerie category. They say that thong isn’t a thing for every woman and that not everyone can carry it. Well, we refuse to agree on that. We truly believe that there’s nothing like an uncomfortable thong in the underfashion world. It’s just that you need to know how to pick the right thong.
Researchers suggest that a large number of women consider thongs to be more comfortable than regular styles. Wondering how & why? Maybe they have mastered the art of picking the right lingerie for themselves.
How to pick the right thong? | |
1. Size | Is it too tight or too loose? |
2. Fabric | Skin-friendly or non-breathable? |
3. Outfit | Skater dresses or fitted jeggings? |
4. Colour | Bright neons or basic nudes? |
5. Purpose | To solve panty woes or to woo him? |
1. Size
Size plays a very important role in making us look the way we look today. Be it outwear or innerwear, the right size can make or break your appearance. We are sure; most of you try at least 2-3 styles or sizes of denims when it comes to picking a well-fitted pair of jeans. Isn’t it? And it totally makes sense because we know that these days we spend our lives wearing basic denim jeans. Then why not for your inner wear too? Infact, it’s the first piece of fabric that goes onto your skin.
It becomes very important to pick the correct size of thong. Picking a smaller size will make the back string dig too much into the skin and make it a very painful and discomforting experience for you. On the contrary, picking a bigger size may lead to extra fabric gathering on the back and creating unsightly bumps. So always make sure you pick a snug fit.
2.Fabric
Nothing gets closer to your skin than lingerie. It becomes of utmost importance to carefully pick a thong according to your usage, weather and occasion. If you are looking for a thong for everyday use, we suggest you should go for a cotton thong. Cotton is know for its skin-friendly nature and breathability feature. Such a fabric is ideal for hot & humid weather. Thongs are also available in butter-soft polyamide fabric; they feature a seamless and smooth finish under body-hugging outfits. Polyamide has a subtle sheen to it which makes the fabric feel plush and colours look bright.
3.Outfit
Thong is one panty style that doesn’t really restrict your outerwear. It can be worn under almost everything and anything. However you must be careful about the designs and style that you pick.
You can easily don a any kind of thong under a flared dress or skirt. Wearing it under a fitted pair of jeggings or a bodycon dresses will help you eliminate panty lines. But if your thong has lace trims along the waist or leg openings or metallic embellishments, there is a high chance that it would show under body-fitted outfits. Always pick a laser cut thong for body-hugging outfits, these usually come with silicon tapes on the inner side which fits you like a glove without leaving a trace of its existence.
4.Colour
Most women don’t bother about colours when it comes to lingerie. The common reason behind this being- ‘I’m gonna wear this inside, who’s gonna see it anyways?’ Ladies, just in case you don’t realise, your panty at times is very much visible. If you are wearing a bright neon shade under a fitted black dress, trust me ladies it’s going to show. Or wearing a pink printed thong under a white pencil skirt- ahem… embarrassing. So girls, put in a bit of thought while picking the right thong. Pick a nude one for white & light coloured outfits. Pick a shade that merges with your natural skin tone and let your panty be a secret! Ssshh…
5.Purpose
The most obvious purpose of a thong is to eliminate embarrassing panty lines and make your outfit look chic and clean. Another purpose of a low waist thong is to avoid panty peeks when you wear low waist jeans. But what if it is a sexy lacy thong? *wink* Well, who can resist that! We assure you that he would fall head over heels for you.
